This is no ordinary book though. I just got Twilight, by Stephanie Meyer. I have seen so many of my friends on Facebook and MySpace talking about Twilight, and the characters and story. I had no idea what they were talking about, and then I started to see the previews for the Twilight Movie, which comes to movie theaters on November 21, 2008. It looks really interesting! I decided that I need to read the first book in the series if I want to go see the movie.

Started by several Lee Jeans employees back in 1996, Lee National Denim Day has become one of the largest one day fundraisers. The point of the day is that anyone and everyone can participate. We all come together, on one day, to support one cause. Look around you. It’s going to be tough to find someone who hasn’t been touched by breast cancer in some way.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. You can bet that LittleLizzyLou will touch on this topic many more times this month, and for the next several months to come.

However, for today, we want to extend our gratitude to Lee for organizing this year after year. Of course, we are also wearing our jeans as an act of solidarity in the fight against breast cancer.

Boy & Pirate

The bright side is that I will be working for myself full-time!  I will finally be able to devote all of my energy and time to LittleLizzyLou.  I have such big ideas, and a lot of things that I want to do to help the company grow.  Although this change is scary, I’m excited to see where my new path will lead.  It’s about time that I took a risk, and try to become who I’d like to be.

I would love to take this opportunity to feature my Girl & Butterfly design. It seems to be appropriate for the end of an era, and the start of a fresh new life.

It’s August 2008, which means that the Summer Olympics have started!

Everyone has their favorite sport to watch during the Olympics, and I am no exception. I have always loved to watch the swimming and the gymnastics, especially.

Boy & Swimming

My brothers have been big into swimming for years, and it should come as no surprise that they are huge fans of Michael Phelps. Phelps is from our area, and is a phenomenal athlete, so they feel a special tie to him. He has the opportunity to break some amazing records in Beijing, and it will be amazing to watch that happen.

Girl & Gymnastics

Gymnastics is another Olympic sport that I love to watch. In the 2004 games, I watched the drama unfold regarding the Hamm brothers, and it was a big hot topic around my house. I was also a big Carly Patterson fan, so I was very excited when she won. This year, Shawn Johnson seems to be someone to keep an eye on, and I am looking forward to watching everything!
