Valentine’s Day is just a few days away! Many people get all grouchy about Valentine’s Day – It’s a conspiracy! It’s a fake holiday created by the flowers, candy & card industry! It’s too much pressure & just a big reminder that the single people are single & the couple people are coupled! However, sometimes you come across a story that makes you want to stand up & cheer for love & the sentimental mushy Valentine’s Day.

Over the past few months here at LittleLizzyLou, we have been following Gwen Bell on Twitter (@gwenbell). From everything we can tell, Gwen is an awesome & fabulous person. Her Tweets & blog entries are mostly personal, but she also offers tips for surviving & thriving in the new modern technological world. If you listen to her, you’ll find out that Gwen is getting married on March 6, 2009. Gwen & Joel met on Twitter & fell in love on Twitter, before they met IRL (in real life). Their conversations are sweet & loving & there for all of Twitterland to see.

I think that I can relate to her a bit, because LittleLizzyLou’s Joshua & I spent a lot of time at the beginning of our relationship communicating online. In the early days, we chatted on ICQ, we sent each other emails, we set up a message board thing when he spent a semester in Australia. Now, we send emails, texts, Tweets on Twitter, and iChat messages from 2 feet away. We are the geekiest couple I know, except for possibly Gwen & Joel, and I mean that in the nicest way possible.

True to their history, Gwen & Joel are sharing their wedding day with all of their virtual friends. They will be live-streaming the wedding day, and they’ll talk to their virtual guests over Twitter. This is like the coolest thing I’ve heard of in awhile. It makes me want to get married all over again, just so that we can do it too.
