Today is Friday, October 3, 2008. What’s so special about today? It’s the 12th year of “Lee National Denim Day” and that makes today extremely special in our books.

Started by several Lee Jeans employees back in 1996, Lee National Denim Day has become one of the largest one day fundraisers. The point of the day is that anyone and everyone can participate. We all come together, on one day, to support one cause. Look around you. It’s going to be tough to find someone who hasn’t been touched by breast cancer in some way.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. You can bet that LittleLizzyLou will touch on this topic many more times this month, and for the next several months to come.

However, for today, we want to extend our gratitude to Lee for organizing this year after year. Of course, we are also wearing our jeans as an act of solidarity in the fight against breast cancer.
